GFI - Request for Immediate Disclosure (Minneapolis Police Department)

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, I hereby request the following records:

All handwritten, recorded or otherwise documented statements given to supervising officer(s) at the Minneapolis Police Department pertaining to the in/custody death of George Floyd.
1.2 According to Section 16.6(1) of the Minneapolis Police Department’s contract with the Police Union, an officer must provide a “statement or written description of events that is required to be given pursuant to the Minneapolis Police Department (“MPD”) Policy and Procedure Manual or the lawful order of a supervisor and for which the person so obligated is subject to discipline if statement or description is not given.”
1.3 At the time statement(s) were taken by supervising officers, the case had not garnered international attention.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
