Pursuant to Florida's Sunshine Law (Fla. Stat. secs. 119.01 to 119.15 (1995)), I hereby request the following records:

The number of ICE/CBP referrals made by the agency since January 2012, grouped by month, year, and reason for arrest, reason for referral, and whether ICE took custody of the arrestee or not. The extent of this date range is the date that this request is processed on from, as noted before, January 1st 2012.

Any policies or guidelines on ICE referrals.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

From: Milton Police Department

We have had no referrals to ICE/CBP since January 2012, or prior. We have no policy or guideline in reference to contacting ICE/CBP for the deportation/detention of any individual. If the individual committed a crime they would be processed just like any other US citizen as far a we are concerned. What happens in court is out of our Jurisdiction
