Pursuant to Michigan's Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA"), I hereby request the following records:
Copies of all available emails exchanged between officials at the Michigan Attorney General's Office and individuals affiliated with the Rule of Law Defense Fund, the Republican Attorneys General Association, the Judicial Crisis Network and Wellspring Committee. We are seeking communications exchanged between May 1, 2017 and Nov. 3, 2017.
Please understand “officials” to include individuals holding the following titles: Attorney General; Senior Advisor; Chief Legal Counsel; Chief Deputy Attorney General; Chief, Environment and Real Property Practice Group; Chief, Environment, Natural Resources & Agriculture Division; Chief, Consumer Protection Practice Group; Chief, Consumer Protection Division; Chief, Corporate Oversight Division; Director of Public Affairs; Director of Communications; and Executive Assistant.
For email addresses affiliated with the Rule of Law Defense Fund, please use email addresses that contain the domain: “@ruleoflawdefensefund.org.”
For email addresses affiliated with the Republican Attorneys General Association, please use email addresses that contain the domain: “@RepublicanAGs.com.”
For email addresses affiliated with the Judicial Crisis Network, please use email addresses that contain the domain “@judicialnetwork.com,” as well as “dcasey@dcstrat.com.”
For email addresses affiliated with the Wellspring Committee, please use “acorkery@steinmitchell.com.”
If your agency is aware of any additional email addresses associated with the Rule of Law Defense Fund, the Republican Attorneys General Association, Judicial Crisis Network or the Wellspring Committee, please include them in this search as well.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
