Pursuant to the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

1. All data, statistics, and scientific models related to the Omicron variant (sometimes referred to as B.1.1.529, GR/484A, or 21K) of the COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) virus in your agency's possession between 11/1/2021 and the date this request is ultimately processed. Please include attachments to any emails that are part of the responsive documents for this request.

The requested documents and information will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I am willing to pay up to $25 for the requested information. If there is a fee that exceeds that amount, please notify me prior to initiating work on the request.

I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

This notice is issued in response to your request, legally received by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (Department) on December 22, 2021, requesting information under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), MCL 15.231 et seq.

Your request is granted as to existing nonexempt records.

The Department has estimated the cost for searching, retrieval, and review of the requested records and separation of exempt and nonexempt information. The estimated cost of your FOIA request as well as the required deposit is stated in the invoice located in the MDHHS Public Records Center, where you may pay your invoice and deposit online. Upon payment of the deposit the Department will process your request.
