Dear Mr. Anderson:

The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) has received your request for public records and has processed it under the provisions of the Michigan Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), 1976 PA 442, MCL 15.231 et seq. Because of the nature of your request it was sent to the Bureau of Professional Licensing (BPL) to search for any non-exempt records that may be responsive to your request.

Your request has been granted. The Michigan Public Health Code, 1978 PA 368, provides for the licensure and enforcement of the requested occupations. Specifically, you may wish to review Sections 16221 and 16226. The licensure requirements may be found in Article 15 of the Public Health Code. (Please note: the specialty of psychiatry and psychopharmacologists are not specifically licensed under the Public Health Code, but rather likely full under the license types of Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, and Pharmacy.) If you have questions concerning this matter, please feel free to contact the LARA FOIA Office at<>. To review a copy of LARA's written public summary, procedures, and guidelines, go to<>.
