Detective Flam,

Thank you for reaching back out. I am happy to provide any clarification or additional information that you require, however, for documentation and audit trail purposes I would prefer all communications to be handled by written communication.

Thank You
Debbie

Then record our conversation.
Call me old fashion but, I prefer to speak in person. When that’s not possible, over the phone will suffice. I won’t have a back and forth discussion via email or text. It’s too time consuming and emails can easily be misconstrued. In order to provide you the best possible service, I need to speak with someone. You are welcome to come to our station and speak in person. Tomorrow I work 10am-8pm. You are welcome to come by any time.

I appreciate your understanding.

Detective Flam,

If Mesa PD has an ASL interpreter available onsite I would be happy to make arrangements to come down and speak with you, however at this time I am not at my Mesa AZ home for the summer so coming down will unfortunately not be an option at this moment if an ASL interpreter is available.

I too miss the old days when I could hear and have a conversation on the phone, but alas, sometimes the old fashioned are forced into using new technologies in order to keep up with the modern world or due to things beyond their control.

If communicating via email is not something you will be able to do I am happy to withdraw my request and either re-submit when I am in AZ for the summer, or have a friend or family member who is currently in Mesa submit the request instead and you will then be able to get the details you seek to help clarify my request.

Please let me know how you would like me to move forward.

Thank You
Debbie

From: Deborah Bonnema

Detective Flam,

I am not familiar with all the specific kinds of investigations that the Mesa Police Department does, so I can’t say for certain exactly what kinds of photographs of inanimate objects you would use during the course of your investigations. That being said, since an a inanimate object is a thing that is not alive and based on some other agencies in the United States and the responses I have gotten back from them for this same request, they could be photos of things like… cash, firearms, knife, cars, keys, wallet, shoes, cell phone, purse, headphones, computer, laptop, food, car radio, car speakers, car rims, jewelry, buildings, TV’s , camera, cigarette, condom, zip-top bag, etc…
These could be acquired from many outside sources, including Adobe Stock, iStock, Shutterstock, FoodiesFeed, freelancers, local artists, etc…

Debbie
