To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the state open records law, Ariz. Rev. Stat. Ann. Secs. 39-121 to 39-122 and 39-128, I hereby request the following records:
A copy of the most recent database maintained by this agency detailing public employee compensation across the city.
I am specifically requesting that this release include, for each employee, the following: Name of Employee, Age, Gender, Ethnicity, Job Title, Agency/department, and Earnings.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.
I received your request for information about city employees, salaries, titles, etc. for Mesa, Arizona. For salary, are you just looking for the base salary? You were requesting the information within 10 business days but that may not be feasible due to the amount of time involved for this. We have more than 3,200 city employees.
What is the purpose of the request and what organization do you represent?

Thank you for responding to this request! In terms of salary, we'd prefer base yearly salary.
I represent The Contently Foundation, which is a non-profit investigative journalism organization. Thanks!
Could you please confirm whether this request was ever processed? Also, could you please provide the contact email most appropriate to use for requests to your office?
