To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Total costs of the prosecution of Seth Sutton, not just limited to trial. Salaries, research, hotel bills, all, TOTAL COST of prosecution, plus trial, including jury fees. Get real here.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Bernadette Feazell

Bernadette,

The DA’s Office has the understanding that the Attorney General’s Office covers its own expenses when it prosecutes a case as a “pro tem.” Any request for the Attorney General’s Office costs associated with the trial would need to be directed to them.

Also, please see the below note from the Auditor’s Office, which confirmed with the 19th District Court that the only identifiable costs would have been the jury meals and jury pay info which has already been provided.

Any other costs associated with this trial would be embedded in salaries, other personnel costs, overhead costs, and supplies. We do not keep record of these types of expenditures per trial so that breakdown of expenditures does not exist in our office.

Thank you

thanks, who knew.

Good morning,
The September 22 response, in addition to the previous response that included the juror meals, etc was the County’s response on this one. I know you had responded with “thanks, who knew.’ I don’t know if that triggered something in the MuckRock system that needed another response or not.

Thank you
