The City of McAllen's application to the Commission on Presidential Debates to host one of 2016's four general election debates.
Requested records include all documents or files, digital or otherwise, attached to or enclosed with the application.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Good afternoon Mr. Welch,
We are currently awaiting the Attorney General’s ruling. Pursuant to section 552.306 of the Act, the attorney general must render an open records decision “not later than the 45th business day after the date the attorney general received the request for a decision.” The attorney general must provide a copy of the decision to the requestor. Your request was submitted on 7/6/15 and we requested an attorney general ruling on 7/7/15.
To date, we have not received a response/ruling from the Attorney General’s Office. Once they have ruled, we should each receive a copy of ruling. If I can be of further assistance, do not hesitate to contact me.
