From: Todd Feathers
To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66, ยง10, I hereby request the following records:
-Any and all complaints filed against former Middlesex County Juvenile Courts Judge Margaret S. Fearey.
-Any and all letters sent to Judge Fearey notifying her of a complaint or pending investigation, and any responses she sent to the commission as a result of those letters.
-Any and all documentation of disciplinary action taken against Judge Fearey during her career.
I also request that all fees be waived as I am a journalist employed by the Boston Globe. I intend to use any pertinent information I receive as a result of this request to educate the public on the workings of the state's judicial system, and so this request clearly qualifies as a matter of public interest.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Todd Feathers
