To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66, §10, I hereby request the following records:

All final audit reports completed since Jan. 1, 2012 for the following five insurance companies:

-The Commerce Insurance Co., Webster, Mass.
-Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., Boston, Mass.
-Safety Insurance Co., Boston, Mass.
-Arbella Mutual Insurance Co., Quincy, Mass.
-The Hanover Insurance Co., Worcester, Mass.

I also request that all fees be waived as I am a journalist -- employed by MuckRock and the Boston Globe -- and intend to use any pertinent information I receive as a result of this request to educate the public.

I expect the request to be filled in an accessible format, including for screen readers, which provide text-to-speech for persons unable to read print. Files that are not accessible to screen readers include, for example, .pdf image files as well as physical documents.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Todd Feathers

Mindy,

The link you provided only provides reports up until 2011. The requests asks for audits since Jan. 1, 2012.

Please advise.

Thank you.

Todd,

Financial examinations are conducted on a 5 year cycle. None of the first four companies you have listed have been up for examination since 2012. Additionally, please note that The Hanover Insurance Company is domiciled in New Hampshire, thus the New Hampshire Insurance Department as the domestic regulator would conduct the financial exam.

If you need anything else, please let me know.

-Mindy
