To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66, ยง10, I hereby request the following records:

A copy of all bridge inspection reports conducted from January 2010 to the date this request is processed.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

I expect the request to be filled in an accessible format, including for screen readers, which provide text-to-speech for persons unable to read print. Files that are not accessible to screen readers include, for example, .pdf image files as well as physical documents.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Shawn Musgrave

Good afternoon Shawn,

I have a quick question regarding the below FOIA request. Is this FOIA looking for all inspections on all the structures statewide, or is there a particular location related to (MA)?

From: Shawn Musgrave

Hello,

Please provide an estimated delivery date and cost of delivery for all bridges in the state.

If there is some sort of database summarizing the findings of these reports, I would be happy to accept that in place of the individual reports.

Thank you,
Shawn

A fix is required to perfect the request. The request has been rejected as being too vague, burdensome or otherwise unprocessable.

Hello,

I am responding to your request for clarification on 13-0440, regarding inspection records for Massachusetts bridges.

In order to narrow my request, I would like to request a listing/index of all bridges in Massachusetts, including any classifications by size/traffic load rating or other DOT methods of categorizing bridges

Best,
Shawn

Hello,

Thank you for sending these reports. Are there spreadsheet/electronic versions (.xls, .xlt, .xlsx, .odt, .csv format, etc)? If so, I would like to request these.

Thank you!

Hello,

Checking on the request for bridge inspection reports in spreadsheet format again. Will it be possible to obtain this original version rather than the pdf?

Thank you!
