To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Maryland Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

A spreadsheet listing all officer-involved shootings investigated by or otherwise reported to your agency that occurred from 2013-2021, including incident-level information specifying the date of each incident, race and gender of all subjects involved, what weapon if any they were armed with, any injuries or deaths resulting from the incident, the names of all officers involved, whether administrative investigations found the incidents to be justified under police department policy and any disciplinary actions taken against the officers as a result of the incident. If all aspects of this request are not available, please provide all relevant information responsive to this request.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

any injuries or deaths resulting from the incident, the names of all

Dear Requester:

On May 17, 2022, the Maryland State Police (MSP) received your request
under the Public Information Act (Annotated Code of Maryland, General
Provisions Article §§ 4-101 through 4-601) seeking the above captioned
information.

I am writing to advise that it will take us more than 10 working days to
process the requested record(s). The delay is due to the time required to
perform a thorough search and conduct the necessary review process. Once
the record(s) has been collected, it must be reviewed to determine whether
it is, in whole or in part, exempt from disclosure under the Act. If any
information is to be withheld, you will be provided an explanation as to
why it cannot be released. As soon as records are identified, you will be
notified of any fees that may apply.

We believe that we will be able to respond to your request within 30 days
from the date it was received. If we are able to complete your request
more quickly, you will receive a response sooner.

On May 17, 2022, the Maryland State Police received your request under the
Public Information Act (Annotated Code of Maryland, General Provisions

This letter is to inform you that the Maryland State Police has located

for any investigations conducted on behalf of the Independent
Investigations Division of the Maryland Attorney General’s Office. You may

Pursuant to GP § 4-362, you are entitled to seek judicial review of this
