From: Adrien Salzberg

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Maryland Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Records produced as a result of 5-6 zebras that escaped into Prince George’s County, and the county's response in the following weeks. These include, but are not limited to:

- Recordings and/or transcripts of emergency (911) and non-emergency phone calls, as well as dispatch logs, and after-action reports concerning the initial zebra escape between 08/30/2021 and the date this request is processed.

- Recordings and/or transcripts of 311 calls concerning reports of roaming zebras between 08/30/2021 and the date this request is processed.

- Recordings and/or transcripts of calls placed to the Animal Services Division concerning reports of roaming zebras between 08/30/2021 and the date this request is processed.

- All communications, including emails sent, received, or forwarded between county officials (email accounts using the @co.pg.md.us domain), Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, or members of her staff (likely connected to accounts using the @mail.house.gov domain), concerning the zebra escape and public accusations made against the Congresswoman therein. Please include in your search the non-case sensitive keywords "zebra", "Congresswoman", and "feeding station" between 08/30/2021 and the date this request is processed.

- All communications, including emails sent, received, or forwarded between county officials (email accounts using the @co.pg.md.us domain) concerning plans to return the zebras to the farm. Please include in your search the non-case sensitive keywords "zebra", "Jerry Holly", "Mr. Holly", and "feeding station" between 08/30/2021 and the date this request is processed.

To assist in processing, note that I am not interested in seeking any identifiable personal information in response to this request - if any such information is present in responsive documents, I am open and amendable to appropriate redactions as long as the corresponding exemption(s) are cited. Additionally, if any aspect of the search for these records is unduly burdensome or unclear, please notify me ahead of time and I will be happy to clarify or amend the scope of my request.

I ask that the fee for this request be waived, as I believe it to be in the public interest concerning events receiving widespread news coverage.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Adrien Salzberg
