Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
According to the California Health & Safety Code (sec 101045 – below), the county health officer must investigate the health and sanitary conditions of the county jail at least once a year. Clearly, there is a need to have this done now to ensure that conditions in the jail meet state and local requirements and align with best practices.
We request a copy of the July 2019 inspection report, any findings, pending items, their resolution, and any inspection performed in accordance with this code since July 2019.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.
