Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
1. Number of youth given citations or arrests by any police officer, sheriff, or SRO in the county broken down by ethnicity
1a.Number of youth citations broken down by type of offense
1b. Of these citations, please note whether or not it took place on campus
1c. Of these citations, how many students were given citations multiple times?
1d. Of these citations, how many led to arrests?
1e. Of these citations, how many led to referrals to probation?
2. Number of youth probation referrals by any police officer, sheriff, or SRO in the county broken down by ethnicity
2a. Number of youth citations broken down by type of offense
2b. Of these citations, please note whether or not it took place on campus
2c. Of these citations, how many students were given citations multiple times?
2d. Of these citations, how many led to arrests?
2e. Of these citations, how many led to referrals to probation?
3. Number of youth who were arrested in high school and later arrested as an adult in Marin County (does not need to be broken out by school or police jurisdiction)
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.
