A message was sent to you regarding record request #22-2201:

Good evening,

We apologize for the lack of response. This does not mean that your request was or has been ignored. We ran into some challenges when it came to deciphering which agencies had social media pages, the types of accounts they had, and who was running them. This was a project that we were actively sorting out prior to receiving your request and continue to work on now. We apologize for this untimely update but the public records you seek are in active use, in storage or not otherwise readily available. The records are not available because the department needs additional time to gather and research your request, your request involves multiple agencies, a computer search is necessary, some of records are archived, redactions may need to be made, and a legal review is necessary. Please expect a response by, or before, close of business Wednesday, August 10, 2022. If we are able to complete your request prior to that time then you will receive a response much sooner.

Thank you.

No problem at all, and I appreciate that you're providing a detailed explanation, which is far and above what most agencies do. If you need to take additional time beyond August 10, I understand. Thank you!

A message was sent to you regarding record request #22-2201:

I apologize again for the lapse in correspondence. I also want to assure you that we have not forgotten your request and appreciate your patience and understanding despite the long wait. We are still working with IT to track down and obtain access to the social media profiles set up by the individual agencies. We have made a little progress in that, we have been able to pull a list of active and inactive accounts but we're still trying to obtain access to the pages. Many of the staff members that created and maintained the pages have left Louisville Metro Government, switched agencies, or no longer have access to the page(s). As I've mentioned before, this was a project that we were actively working on prior to your request but, at this time, the information you requested is not readily available. I'm going to move our due date out until October 10, 2022 and will try to provide you with the information we do have in the meantime.

Thank you.
