Dear JPat Brown:

The Louisiana Department of Education is in receipt of your public records request seeking:

Annual records from 2005-present, concerning the number of certified public school teachers in Louisiana and whether that certification came from a traditional program or an alternative program. In addition to statewide records, I request the same data for the New Orleans metro area.

With regards to the above-mentioned request, and within the ambit of La. R.S. 44:33, the Department's public affairs office requested that I notify you that the Department is not in possession of any public records responsive to your request as written. Although written as a "request for records", no such currently exist. As such, the request seeks to have the Department to perform calculations at your direction and then create a record of the results on your behalf. The Department is neither required or allowed to do so
I can be reached at (225) 342-3572 should you have any questions regarding this matter.

Sincerely,

Troy Anthony Humphrey
