Documents related to Loudoun County's bid for the Amazon HQ2 project.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

A copy of the bid submitted by Arlington County in response to Amazon's request for proposals for its second headquarters ("HQ2"), contracts with third-party vendors for services rendered regarding the HQ2 proposal, and documents related to the county's expenditures on its pursuit of the HQ2 project, dated from September 1, 2017 to the date this request is received.

This request is being made as a newsgathering effort, and produced documents will be shared with the public. This request is not being made for commercial purposes. Please inform me promptly of any fees, should any be incurred.

Please fulfill this request either over an electronic file-hosting service or by email attachment. If neither can be arranged, a mailed CD-ROM is acceptable.

The Loudoun County Department of Economic Development has received your request for the release of records under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act relating to the Amazon HQ2 RFP response. The records as requested are exempt from disclosure under Virginia Code ยง 2.2-3705.6.3 which states:

Proprietary information, voluntarily provided by private business pursuant to a promise of confidentiality from a public body, used by the public body for business, trade, and tourism development or retention; and memoranda, working papers, or other information related to businesses that are considering locating or expanding in Virginia, prepared by a public body, where competition or bargaining is involved and where disclosure of such information would adversely affect the financial interest of the public body.
