LASD 30-Day Car Hold Contracts & Oversight

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

1. All contracts, agreements, or other similar records between the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and garages or businesses storing vehicles on LASD’s behalf. Please limit this request to agreements in force between January 1, 2018 and the present.

2. Any LASD record reflecting the total number of vehicles held on 30-day impounds each month between the months of January 2018 and January 2022.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.
