To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
All customs summonses issued by Officer Michael Solis and other LAPD officers in their capacities as members of the federal Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force. Please search for summonses issued between 2005 and the date this request is processed, or as far back as such summonses are available.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter.
I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Shawn Musgrave

Hello -
Thank you for your response to this request. I'd like to request that this request be sent back to LAPD or else that another search be conducted, as I know that at least one such document exists.
In People v Affleje — Court of Appeals of California, Second District, Division Seven, July 31, 2012, see decision here: https://www.leagle.com/decision/incaco20120731041 — the court described Officer Michael Solis's submission of one such customs summons:
"In 2009, Officer Solis investigated Internet crimes against children. He was also designated as a federal agent and worked with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) on the federal Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force. The task force monitored activity on the Internet and determined that child pornography had been downloaded by a customer of Time Warner Road Runner. Officer Solis signed a federal summons directed to Time Warner to identify the customer. The summons was signed by a customs commissioner and sent to Time Warner."
At minimum, then, LAPD should be in possession of Officer Solis's customs summons from the Aflleje case. Officer Solis was assigned to the ICAC through 2015, at least (see LAPD press release here: http://watch-command-1142464325.us-east-1.elb.amazonaws.com/west_bureau_news/news_view/59441), and LAPD remains a member of ICAC.
Respectfully,
Shawn Musgrave
