From: Los Angeles City Attorney's Office

Dear Mr. Lipton,

I am confident that the City Attorney's Office did not receive the request,
below, from you in November 2017.
In any event, your request is vastly over-broad and unfocused and would
generate an enormous volume of documents, all of which would have to be
reviewed and, as appropriate, redacted. This would result in a significant
use of public resources. To continue forward, with such a broad search,
would be unduly burdensome and not beneficial to the public. As a result,
this Office asserts the exemption under Government Code section 6255 with
respect to your request as it is currently drafted. Please consider
limiting your request to a specific subject matter so that we may be able
to better respond.
