To LBPD:

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

-A .csv file or table generated from GovQA showing every CPRA request filed with the Long Beach Police Department since January 1, 2018, including the Reference Number, Date Received, Name of Requestor, Record Description, Status, Date Completed, as well as any information which city department is handling the request.

If necessary these can be broken up into years or other subunits.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about this request. As to any question of whether the requested table constitutes a public record, your site makes clear when one files a request that CPRA requests are public records.

*A duplicate of the request has been sent to the LBPD for the police’s CPRA table.

Thank you,

Greg Buhl

RE: Public Records Request Reference Number: C012037-082221
In response to your request for public records received on August 22, 2021, the City of Long Beach does not have responsive records. LBPD can provide the requested records as we do not have access to their system.
PRA Request #C012037-082221 is now closed.
If you have any questions, please contact the Records Coordinator Office at (562) 570-6711.

Hello,

Can this request please be reopened? It is impossible for the City not to have responsive documents to this request.

The City's CPRA portal clearly states "Powered by GovQA" and the city has received CPRA requests, as evidence by this current interaction.

Perhaps my request language was not clear. I sent the same language to the LBPD and they were able to produce the spreadsheet I requested.

Here is a copy of that completed LBPD request. Hopefully it will clarify what I was asking for and make it clear that the requested document is in your possession as it can be generated by a system the city currently uses.

Hi Mr. Buhl,

My apologies for the delayed reply; I’ve been on vacation. We don’t have access to PD’s system. Therefore, we cannot provide the records requested. However, I saw in your request that you’d sent a duplicate request to PD. They can provide the requested records.

Best,
