Ms. Ciaramitaro:

Thank you for the opportunity to clarify your FOIA request needs today. As stated in our meeting, I pulled two dates at random and ran the report. Attached are the CAD or Call for Service run, including citation given, for your review. As stated, the traffic stop does not provide the demographics you were seeking.

Under the authorization granted by Section 13 of the Michigan Freedom of Information Act (MCL 15.231. et seq.) exemption of the information was necessary based upon
MCL 15.243, Sec 13(1)(a) Information is of a personal nature and disclosure would constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of an individual's privacy; MCL 15.243, Sec. 13(1)(b)(ii) Deprive a person of the right to a fair trial or impartial administrative adjudication, (iii) Constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy, and MCL 15.243, Sec. 13(1)(c) Records or information specifically described and exempted from disclosure by statue (LEIN - MCL 28.214(5)).

We appreciate your patience.

The submitted documents, relating to Traffic Stops by Officer, has been corrected regarding the formatting of "time" on the stop to reflect hours, minutes and seconds.

Nancy –

Happy Monday! I take it this is the report of traffic stops with corrections of duration of each stop (i.e., no more 30 second traffic stops). It still doesn’t have racial information, nor does it break out those traffic stops which didn’t result in an arrest or citation. But at least CLEMIS has purged the absurd error. That’s progress!
