To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66, §10, I hereby request the following records:

A copy of the bid submitted in response to Amazon's request for proposals for the site of its second headquarters, any contracts with third-party providers for services rendered regarding the Amazon HQ2 bid, and any marketing budgets regarding Amazon-related expenditures from September 1, 2017 to the date this request is received.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

I expect the request to be filled in an accessible format, including for screen readers, which provide text-to-speech for persons unable to read print. Files that are not accessible to screen readers include, for example, .pdf image files as well as physical documents.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Adanya Lustig

From: Mayor's Office

Dear Adanya Lustig,

Attached is the redacted proposal and the rendering for proposed Leominster Site #1, the former landfill. Feel free to use any of this data as you see fit for your story. If you have questions, also feel free to contact me via phone.

The redacted portion of the proposal is what we refer to as Proposed Site #5. That site is a privately owned parcel, and the manner in which the owners are handling their sale is private, they do not want to go about it publicly; but they did want the City to include it in our Amazon proposal submission. To do so, the City had to sign a confidentiality agreement, and for that reason, the City is not allowed to talk publicly about the site. There is nothing of concern involved with this site, it's just their choice to handle their sale in this manner.

Sincerely,
William B. Mitchell, RMA, MAA
