Pursuant to the Indiana Access to Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
All use of force reports, where the force type involved use of a canine, for police actions on 2/24/2021, 8/26/2021 and 10/14/2021.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 7 business days, as the statute requires.

Regarding your request for use of force reports involving a canine on 2/24/2021, 8/26/2021 and 10/14/2021. Pursuant to IC code 5-14-3-4(b)(8), the Lafayette Police Department may withhold documents that are part of employee's personnel file. Use of Force reports fall in to that category. I would refer you to a similar response that I provided to you in January of this year where you requested use of force reports.
