The City of La Palma is closed from Christmas to New Year's Day every year and was closed from December 22, 2016, through January 2, 2017. We did not receive your request until Tuesday, January 3, upon our return to the offices.

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act (California Government Code §§ 6250), I hereby request the following records:

Between January 2010 to present, any invoices, bills, contracts, emails or other correspondence, (except actual investigation reports themselves) to/from Norman Traub and Associates or Frank Hauptmann for outsourced police employee background investigations.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

In response to your public records request below, our Police Department, our Records Department, and Finance Department has all checked for anything regarding your record request in regards to the following:
