From: Greg Trout
To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to Tennessee's Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Actual copies or histories of all water and sewer bills (including consumption and billed amounts, as well as applicable rate schedules) for the previous 12 months for any and all accounts or meters tied to customers spending over $50,000 annually on sewer services.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 7 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Greg Trout
From: Chief of Police
Mr. Trout,
The Knoxville Police Department cannot assist you with this request because we do not handle water and sewer utilities.

Mr. Trout,
Hello. I was forwarded your records request about utility customers. I wanted to let you know that the City of Knoxville does not own or operate a utility system, so we do not have the records you are seeking. Most of the residents and businesses in Knoxville are served by the Knoxville Utilities Board, so I would suggest that you start with them. You can find their information online at www.kub.org<http://www.kub.org>.
