The KCSO Public Disclosure Unit has completed research and identified reports meeting the parameters of your request. As you are aware, RCW 9A.48.020 does not note motive as a factor; in order to identify potentially responsive records we queried for all reports with suspects charged under 9A.48.020 where the narrative contains variations of the search terms "hired", "paid" or "payment". The records are being reviewed for privileged information prior to release.
The department is experiencing a high volume of open requests and we must coordinate our response with other units in the Sheriff’s Office. We anticipate our first installment to you on or before October 25, 2019 . If we are unable to meet this self-imposed deadline, we will let you know. If we are able to provide a response sooner, we will certainly do so.
