To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to RCW Ch. 42.56 (Public Records Act), I hereby request the following records:
A copy of the bid submitted in response to Amazon's request for proposals for the site of its second headquarters, any contracts with third-party providers for services rendered regarding the Amazon HQ2 bid, and any marketing budgets regarding Amazon-related expenditures from September 1, 2017 to the date this request is received.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.
The Economic Development Council of Seattle and King County (EDC), along with a consulting firm called BCG, produced the proposal/bid that went to Amazon. King County provided information on transportation routes to BCG. There was no County money involved in creating the proposal/bid. I have been able to get a copy of the proposal/bid for you. It is too big to e-mail so I will send it to you using the MuckRock News mailing address below. I am sending a thumb drive because I couldn't get it to load onto a CD.
I am the public records officer for the King County Executive Office, so if you ever have another public records request you can send it directly to me at firstname.lastname@example.org<mailto:email@example.com>
Have a good Friday.
A copy of documents responsive to the request.
Thanks so much for your help with this request! I really appreciate it.
