Thanks again for this. Just to refer back to an earlier email exchange, I do understand that inquiries by the Internal Affairs department are not available. But are there any files releasable from criminal investigations that KCSO conducted into arrest-related deaths/fatal officer involved shootings by deputies?

This autopsy file, for instance, was released to a reporter from the case of David Sal Silva, who died in 2013: https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/703697-coroner.html

Could I obtain the equivalent document for the cases of James Moore in 2005, and Jose Lucero in 2010? And any other files that are available from these two and Silva's cases?

(This is what I meant by documents that are considered by the review board; I presume these sort of documents are.)

No, they are all exempt from disclosure under California Government Code

Dear Mr. Mahoney,
Many thanks for this response. Would it be possible to also obtain
location details – as precise as is possible – for the incidents
listed

Maraithe Thomas,
The attached documents are in response to your California Public
Records Act (CPRA) request for documents for the period of 2004-20015.

business.
The Excel spreadsheet pertaining to "Officer involved Shootings"

the period 2004-2008.
Your request for all complaints filed by civilians against Kern County
