Pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Data, statistics, and other documents relating to:
–Number of police shootings, including fatal police shootings, that happened in Kennesaw, Georgia between Jan. 1, 2010 and the date this request is processed
–Number of firearm-related homicides that occurred between Jan. 1, 2010 and the date this request is processed
–Number of firearm-related suicides that occurred between Jan. 1, 2010 and the date this request is processed
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

Good afternoon,
In response to your open records request re: data, statistics, and other documents relating to number of police shootings, including fatal police shootings, firearm related homicides and firearm related suicides that happened in Kennesaw from January 1, 2010, the detective has advised the following:
During the period of time requested, we had 1 homicide by firearm and there were no police involved shootings. As far as suicides by firearm, we do not track method of suicide.
Please let me know if you have any other questions; otherwise, we will consider this open records request closed.
