Pursuant to the Kansas Open Records Act (K.S.A. 45-215), I hereby request the following records:

1. All incident reports or other records documenting each time your agency's S.W.A.T. team (sometimes called a police paramilitary unit) was deployed.

2. In the event such records are not kept, I request a list of the dates of deployment of the agency's S.W.A.T. team during this period.

3. In the event these records/dates are not available for the entire time period covering this request, I request you supply the above information for the period covering the present back to as long as such records/information are available.

This request is being made for academic, not commercial, purposes.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

1). All incident reports or other records documenting each time your agency's S.W.A.T. team (sometimes called a police paramilitary unit) was deployed.
2). In the event such records are not kept, I request a list of the dates of deployment of the agency's S.W.A.T. team during this period.

The incident reports regarding our agency's Special Response Team (S.R.T.) deployments are considered criminal investigation records and are not subject to disclosure. Pursuant to K.S.A. 45-217(c), a public agency is not required to release the disclosure of criminal investigation records. Further information regarding the closure of the records may be obtained from the Kansas Attorney General's website at www.ksag.org.

A document listing the Kansas Highway Patrol S.R.T. deployment dates from years 2000 to 6-25-2015 is available. The reproduction cost for the document is as follows:

* "K.H.P. S.R.T. Deployment Dates", 3 pages @ $.50 per page = $1.50

Upon receipt of your payment, the document will be mailed to your office. The acceptable forms of payment are: exact cash, check or money order made payment to the Kansas Highway Patrol. Please send your payment to the following address:
