Pursuant to the Kansas Open Records Act (K.S.A. 45-215), I hereby request the following records:

Copies of all available emails exchanged between officials at the the Kansas Attorney General's Office and individuals affiliated with the Rule of Law Defense Fund, the Republican Attorneys General Association, the Judicial Crisis Network and Wellspring Committee. We are seeking communications exchanged between May 1, 2017 and Nov. 3, 2017.

Please understand “officials” to include individuals holding the following titles: Attorney General; Chief Deputy Attorney General; Deputy Attorney General; Assistant Attorney General; Chief of Staff; and Deputy Chief of Staff.

For email addresses affiliated with the Rule of Law Defense Fund, please use email addresses that contain the domain: “@ruleoflawdefensefund.org.”

For email addresses affiliated with the Republican Attorneys General Association, please use email addresses that contain the domain: “@RepublicanAGs.com.”

For email addresses affiliated with the Judicial Crisis Network, please use email addresses that contain the domain “@judicialnetwork.com,” as well as “dcasey@dcstrat.com.”

For email addresses affiliated with the Wellspring Committee, please use “acorkery@steinmitchell.com.”

If your agency is aware of any additional email addresses associated with the Rule of Law Defense Fund, the Republican Attorneys General Association, Judicial Crisis Network or the Wellspring Committee, please include them in this search as well.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
