To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the The Kansas Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

All records pertaining to a letter signed by the attorney general sent to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on March 16, 2015 regarding the "ATF Framework for Determining Whether Certain Projectiles are ‘Primarily Intended for Sporting Purposes.'" A copy of the letter may be viewed here: https://media.dojmt.gov/wp-content/uploads/ATF-March2015.pdf

The scope of the request includes the Attorney General and any staff that report directly to the Attorney General.

Please conduct a search for records between January 1, 2015 (or the date that the Attorney General took office, if later than January 1, 2015) and April 1, 2015. Please exclude all press clips.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.
