To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act ("APRA"), I hereby request the following records:

All arrest records, including narrative, for the past 24 hours from the time this request is received.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Shawn Musgrave

Kathleen -

Apologies for the delay in my response -- in response to your request for attached note sent by mail a couple weeks back, I'll reiterate that this is a request for arrest records (including narrative) for the past 24 hours as of the date you received the request. As you postmarked your note on June 13, I'd be happy to say that this is a request for all arrest records for June 13.

Please let me know if this provides adequate clarification for you to fulfill this request. I can be reached at (617) 299-1832, although it will be much quicker to reach me by email back to this inbox directly.

Best,
Shawn

Thank you for your response. Please note that my followup email requested only arrest records for June 13, and not the range you indicate. Please invoice me only for records I have requested.

Ms. Bedrosian -

As I indicated in my last email, I only requested arrest records for 24 hours, while you provided and invoiced me for more than 20 days worth. Please revise the attached invoice per my request -- I am afraid I am not obliged to pay for records I did not request.

Best,
Shawn

Ms. Bedrosian -

I've received your mailed note inquiring into the payment for this APRA for arrest documents including narrative for 24 hours. As I emailed you a couple of weeks back, the attached invoice includes charges for documents that I did not request.

The present request was for 24 hours of arrest records, while your final response packet included more than 20 days worth. I am happy to pay for the portion of the records that I requested -- please revise the attached invoice to reflect the portion of the documents I am obligated to pay for.

Best,
Shawn
