Hello Chief Muilenberg —

Thank you for your most recent communication in response to this request. I'm wondering if you could please direct me to where the Town Annual Reports can be found. Would that require an in-person visit, or do these materials exist in an electronic format?

I really appreciate your time and help with this RTK.

Have a lovely week,

From: Jaffrey Police Department

Mr. Lipton,

The Town reports can be found at the town office. I do not believe they are in electronic format so an in person visit would be needed. I suggest calling the Town Office in advance (603-532-7880) to ensure the materials are ready and available for your review.

Hi Todd,

Thanks so much for passing along this information to my colleague Beryl Lipton. My name is Cassidy Jensen and I'm a reporter at the Concord Monitor also working on this project. I wanted to follow up on our request for demographic information.

I understand that many departments do not file an EEO-1 form or/or do not track all the demographic information that we are requesting. We are seeking any records of demographic information (age, race or gender) for officers or supervisors employed as of July 1 of 2000, July 1 of 2010 and July 1 of 2020.

If that information is not available for past years, we are still interested in accessing demographic data for currently employed officers or supervisors.

I am not requesting a new record be created. However, if there are records your agency maintains, including but not limited to hiring intake forms, employee cards, or other records that contain information about age, gender or race, I would like an electronic copy of those records or the opportunity to inspect them.

We have made requests from multiple agencies in New Hampshire and have found that other small departments do maintain age or gender information in personnel files even if they do not file an EEO-1 form.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks again for your assistance. You can reach me at 603-369-3322.

My initial response stands. Any information we have is part of personnel files and those are not subject to public information requests.
