I am writing to request for the following information related to computer logs and firewall block lists for the period of 2 years:
Copies of computer logs detailing internet activity during the period of this request.
A list of websites that have been blocked by the firewall system during the period of this request, including any recently blocked websites.
A list of websites that have been blocked due to intrusion detection and prevention (IDP) during the period of this request.
Any documentation related to the criteria used to determine which websites are blocked by the firewall system and IDP system.
Any logs related to attempts to bypass the firewall system during the period of this request.

I am writing to appeal the response to my public records request dated March 4, 2023, as I believe that the response provided is incomplete.
As per Florida Statute 119.07, I am entitled to a reasonable opportunity to inspect or copy any public record. However, the response to my request fails to provide complete information regarding computer logs and firewall block lists for the requested period of two years (March 4, 2021 through March 4, 2023).
While I understand that certain information may be confidential and exempt from disclosure under Florida Statute 119.0725(2)(c) and 119.0725(2)(d), I believe that the response provided lacks the required extensive search by the agency and proper redaction of exempt information.
I request that the agency conduct a thorough search for all responsive records, and provide any additional information that was not previously provided. I also request that the agency redact any confidential and exempt information in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to receiving a complete response to my public records request.

We appreciate your email regarding your public records request. You acknowledge certain information may be confidential and exempt pursuant to Florida law, and request that the district redact confidential and exempt information from your requested public records. First, we would like to schedule a phone call to ensure we are accurately interpreting the original public records request. Based on our current interpretation of the request, please see below.
Florida law provides, "There is a difference between records the Legislature has determined to be exempt from The Florida Public Records Act and those which the Legislature has determined to be exempt from The Florida Public Records Act and confidential. If information is made confidential in the statutes, the information is not subject to inspection by the public and may only be released to the persons or organizations designated in the statute." See WFTV, Inc. v. Sch. Bd. of Seminole, 874 So.2d 48<https://www.leagle.com/cite/874%20So.2d%2048>, 53 (Fla. 5th DCA 2004).
The cybersecurity records you have requested are confidential and exempt from s. 119.07<http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&Search_String=&URL=0100-0199/0119/Sections/0119.07.html>(1) and s. 24(a), Art. I of the State Constitution. s. 119.0725 (2), F.S. The terms “exempt” and “confidential” are not interchangeable. Thus, the requested records, as confidential and exempt information, are not subject to inspection by the public and may only be released to those persons and entities designated in statute.
