Pursuant to Florida's Sunshine Law (Fla. Stat. secs. 119.01 to 119.15 (1995)), I hereby request the following records:
Copies of the "Equitable Sharing Agreement and Certification" forms submitted for the years 2009-2013 to the Department of Justice. The DOJ requires any law enforcement agency that participates in its equitable sharing program for asset forfeiture proceeds to submit these forms on an annual basis.
I request that all fees be waived because I am a journalist -- employed by MuckRock and the Boston Globe -- and intend to use any pertinent information I receive as a result of this request to educate the public on the DOJ's equitable sharing program.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.
