From: Jackson County Sheriff

The Sheriff’s office received a faxed request for records from a Colin Gerber, fax #1-424-305-1996, through your office. Mr. Gerber is asking for very specific data that is not readily available from our RMS. While the data can be retrieved, it will be very labor intensive, which translates into expensive. My one clerk will have to put aside their normal every day duties to go through each of the 6500 calls for service from 2019, and 6700 calls for service in 2020, to find the data Mr. Gerber is requesting. This is unacceptable for our services, so it will be dealt with as a “as we have time” basis. This translates into hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in research fees, plus the cost of preparing the report. The time needed for this will be measured in months, and I cannot project a completion date at this time.

Since Mr. Gerber did not leave contact information, If you could pass this along to him, I would like to know how he wishes to proceed. Awaiting a response. This response satisfies the three days response time set forth in Missouri Statute.
