Pursuant to the California's Sunshine Amendment (Cal. Const. Art. I, ยง 3(b)), I hereby request the following records:
-All correspondence between Huy Fong Foods and the Irwindale City Council
-All correspondence between the Irwindale City Council and the South Coast Air Quality Management District regarding Huy Fong Foods and the sriracha sauce factory, including any air quality test results
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Good morning Mr. Musgrave.
The City has received today the records request you emailed on April 10, 2014, and will produce any responsive, non-privileged records to your request to the extent that they exist. Due to the nature of the request and the time needed to research and compile same, we will contact you when it is determined that there are responsive, non-privileged records and when they will be available for your viewing and/or copying. Please note that the City will charge $0.25 per page for copies of the records you requested, as there is no policy in place for the waiver of such fees. Staff will produce all responsive electronic documents at no charge, as you requested. However, you will need to provide the appropriate digital media (such as a blank cd) so that the documents can be stored onto it.
In the meantime, should you have any questions or require anything further, please feel free to call me at 626-430-2201.

As you know, I sent you a response to your email on April 14 (copy below) indicating that the responsive electronic documents you requested would be provided to you at no charge, provided you supply the digital media necessary to store said documents so that these can be provided to you. However, to this date, I have not received any such media, nor a response from you. Please advise whether you would still like to proceed with this request. If so, you are reminded to kindly provide me with the necessary digital media to store the electronic documents for you. Please know that there are too many documents to send over email or by fax. Apologies for missing your earlier email about sending a disc.
Would it be possible to send via multiple emails or upload to a fileshare system? I think that would be faster and more efficient than shipping a disc from Boston to California. If not, I can arrange for a disc to be sent or dropped off.

If you have no other FTP client, I will arrange for a disc to be sent to you. It may be easier for me to consult with your IT assistant or similar staffer, so that I don't have to mail a disc from Boston.

Good morning Shawn. I just wanted to give you an update on your request for records. I've sent a request to our IT worker for assistance in using the FTP you sent me a few days ago. However, he is tied up in another project for our Library. As such, he has not had a chance to help me yet. I don't want to keep delaying this request, so would it be ok for me to just burn the documents on a cd and mail them to you?
