We have received your inquiry and will respond with the information that is available within a week. The Iowa Secretary of State retains very limited information, that would meet the specifics of this request, however.

Carly,
Embedded in this e-mail is your Open Records Law request, for reference. Attached is a spreadsheet that reflects the record of phone calls received in the Secretary of State's office for the 2014 Primary Election. This log was not maintained for the General Election. Specific documentation regarding voting equipment malfunction and repair would be retained in each county auditor's office.
I have also attached the fee schedule, should you wish further research into this matter. The only documentation available for the General Election is contained in dozens, perhaps hundreds, of e-mails to and from Iowa Secretary of State personnel related to election day questions, some of which may include questions related to voting equipment. Research to review and select pertinent e-mails will require 1-2 hours of time and will include 50-150 printed pages, as an estimate.

Please let me know how you wish to proceed.
