Pursuant to the Iowa Open Records Law (Code Chapter 22), I hereby request the following records:
Secretary Bill Northey's email and letter correspondence with the following entities between January 1, 2013 and June 2, 2017: U.S. Department of Agriculture, Monsanto, Syngenta, DuPont, Koch Industries, and Dow Chemical (including subsidiary Dow AgroSciences).
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, please inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I am willing to pay up to $35. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

The charge for open records request is $25 per hour for staff time. The Department can provide the files electronically, would need to charge for the CD-ROM or memory card. Our Department would anticipate that the charge would be well above $35 due to the scale of the request, but we are not able to provide a detailed estimate. Please let me know how you would like us to proceed. Thanks.

Thanks you for your help with this request. The check is in the mail. How was the search for my request conducted? I am seeing several emails between Mr. Northey and entities that I did specify, including Famous Daily, Farm Futures, Farm Progress, and Sosland Publishing.
