Good morning, I forwarded the request to Sergeant Mark Smith. We will need a 14 day extension for this. Thank you

Good morning, we are searching for requested documents but 2015 to current are extensive years back we may not have these records. We will need an additional 90 days. We are searching other locations for these documents. Our records destruction policy specifies we only keep financial records for two years. See attached. Thank you

Attached is an expense report of the purchases made for Inyo County outlined in request #1 & 2. The Department has an older Wheeled modified Vehicle from over twenty five years ago that it has not spent any funds on to modify since. I have no records responsive for #3. We report Use of Force to the Department of Justice yearly. We have had no Use of Force in over five years. Thank you

Dear Ms. Stine,

Thank you so much for your response to my Public Records Act request for purchase and deployment records for certain types of equipment possessed by the Inyo County Sheriff's Office. I really appreciate it.

I am writing to ask whether you have any other responsive purchase records, such as invoices, for "less lethal" launchers or munitions, as detailed in the expense report you shared. The report shows the supplier, cost, and a generic category ("less lethal", "Pepperball"), but not the make or model or number of those items purchased. We are requesting this of all sheriff offices in the state as well as many police departments, for a public report on the types of equipment obtained and used by law enforcement agencies in California.

Again, I appreciate your effort on this request.

best,
John Lindsay-Poland

We only keep invoices for two years. We are a staff person down, which is our fiscal person. I would have to check with our Admin person. Not sure that is something that we could get to you within a short time. We are looking at a few months down the road. I would need to get back to you on this.

From: John Lindsay-Poland

Dear Ms. Stine,

Thanks so much for your prompt and informative response. I understand how difficult it is to be short-staffed, as many agencies are now.

So, while I am curious what a new response date would be, I also want to ask whether you think a new request that focuses on the most recent *inventory* records of the same types of equipment would be something that is difficult or easy to respond to. If you think it is manageable, I would consider the response to the purchase records request complete, and submit a new one.

Thanks, and wishing you the best.

Attached are the invoices that go with the spread sheet we sent you. Also in response to #3, Our Admin Sergeant did want to add we have not deployed any new less lethal weapons platforms.
