Thank you for your request. As of March 2016, this Office no longer handles other agencies public records requests. The Indiana Access to Public Records Act, IC 5-14-3, anticipates that such requests are directed to the agencies that maintain those public records. The Office of Corporation Counsel, and in particular, the Public Access Counselor is still available to assist with questions you may have or if you have any issues in dealing with other city or county agencies to which you have made requests.

Upon review of your request for, “any and all available dog licensing and registration data for animals within your jurisdiction,” no records exist to satisfy your request.

The Consolidated City of Indianapolis and Marion County does not require dogs or animals to be licensed or registered by their owners within the City/County.
