Dear Records Officer,
Pursuant to Florida's Sunshine Law (Fla. Stat. secs. 119.01 to 119.15 (1995)), I hereby request the police reports under the following case numbers:
I am a reporter with The Trace, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit news organization. I am filing this request through MuckRock, a public records request management service that I use to better track and streamline public records requests. The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not. If for any reason documents must be mailed, please let me know and I will supply my address.
