Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Informational copies of all American Indian and Alaska Native death certificates held by the Imperial County Clerk's office.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Subject: Request for Birth records
Good Morning Sovereign Bodies Institute,
I am responding to the first correspondence that we have received regarding the above described request.
The Clerk/Recorder's Office in Imperial County California has no indexing of Death Certificates by Nationality , race, creed, color or other break down of tribe or other State of origin. This information may be included in a Birth Certificate but we have no breakdown of such information and a search of each Birth Certificate filed in Imperial County would be cost prohibitive. We would have no other place to begin a search for such individuals who were born in Imperial County.
I am sorry that we can't provide any additional information that may be of help to you in your search.
