To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to Alabama's Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:
All exotic pet registration data, including the species, owner zip code, date of registration, animal names and any other information kept for such animals in the city of Huntsville. I would prefer this in a machine-readable spreadsheet format.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.
We only have two Serval cats registered.
We do not have a data base listing the animals.
Based on our limited registry this is all the data that we will provide! We are an incredibly busy shelter. We had a local business owner of an exotic pet store that worked very very hard to pass that ordinance. My understanding is that he was pushing to help promote his trade of mainly snakes and lizards.
