Mr. Sinyangwe,

After checking our PRA database, I see that a request for extension of time was issued by the City Attorney that indicated a new due date of November 4. I am forwarding your email to the Chief Assistant City Attorney, requesting that he provide an explanation for the disposition of this request (C000584-102518).

Mr. Sinyangwe,

I have discovered why you have not been receiving responses from the City regarding the CPRA request you submitted to the City on 10-25-2018. The email address on file in your GovQA account was entered incorrectly ... it read 62482-80578641@requets.muckrock.com<mailto:62482-80578641@requets.muckrock.com> (missing one of two "s" in requests). When you last contacted me about the status of your PRA, I reached out to our City Attorney's office to request their follow-up directly with you. Here is the communication that was submitted into our GovQA public records database on 11-29-18 by our Chief Deputy City Attorney Mike Vigliotta that you should have received notification of by email (which was directed to an incorrect address):

RE: Public Records Reference # C000584-102518

Dear Samuel:

This email is in response to your California Public Records Act request dated October 25, 2018 wherein you requested, "Copies of all reports, lists, databases, or individual documents created since Jan. 1, 2016 that detail lawsuits brought against the city's police department and the outcome of lawsuits brought against the city's police department which includes the financial settlement. This should include any documentation mechanism your department uses to track lawsuits. It should also include any documents that your department submits to local, state, or federal agencies listing the number and/or status of lawsuits brought against the police department."

The City has completed its reasonable effort to search for and locate records responsive to your request. There are no records available in response to your request. If you have any questions, please reply to this email.

Thank you,

Mike Vigliotta

I have corrected the email address in the system, so use of it should work properly from this point forward. So very sorry for the delayed resolution!

Merry Christmas!
