To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to Pennsylvania Right to Know Act, I hereby request the following records:

A Shapefile or CSV containing at minimum the Address Points (house # and street name) and their corresponding Latitude/Longitude. If additional data such as the Unit Number, City, Zipcode, Parcel Id exists they should be included as well.

If this cannot be accessed, the parcel file including situs address would suffice.

Other names for this include: E911 Address Database, Civic Address File, Parcel Dataset, Land Ownership Dataset, Tax Parcels, Address Points.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Nick Ingalls

Nick,

I passed this along to Huntingdon County's Right to Know point of contact. She said to move forward with this she needs you to submit a Right to Know request using the attached form. You can submit the completed form to Michelle Barnett : mbarnett@huntingdoncounty.net<mailto:mbarnett@huntingdoncounty.net>

If you would want the data in printed form it is $.25 per sheet. I estimate that the cost to print the information would exceed $100.00.

If you have further questions on the process of submitting a Right to Know request your best contact is Michelle Barnett.

Alternatively: You can obtain this information without using the RTKL process. It is a bit less hassle laden. For this request all you would need to do is submit a signed data license agreement ( DLA form<http://www.huntingdoncounty.net/Dept/Mapping/Documents/Huntingdon%20GIS%20License%20Agreement%202012.pdf>) to me and then I can process your request as a standard data request. There would be no cost for our address shapefile and I could attach it to an email. I do not say this to discourage you from submitting a Right to Know request, but so that you are aware of a simpler way to acquire the data.

Information on this process and all related forms are accessed on this page: http://www.huntingdoncounty.net/Dept/Mapping/Pages/GIS-Data-Sales.aspx

Hello Grant,

Good to hear from you! I've attached the Right To Know Request form below.
Per the request I would request that the data format remain digital in one as an ESRI Shapefile. If a shapefile
isn't possible letme know, I can accept most common geospatial formats.

Unfortunately the RTKL process assumes a client/provider relation, licensing the data to a single entity instead of
releasing the records into the public domain. Section 2a&b as well as Section 5 essentially make the data
proprietary.

Cheers,
Nick

Hello Michelle,

Just wanted to confirm receipt of the RKT Extension letter. I look forward to hearing from you in 30 days.

I did notice a the bottom the fee estimate was based on a page count & postage, in this case I am requesting digital data by email so it should reflect hours of staff time and then submission by email.

Let me know if there is anything more I can do on my end.

Cheers,
Nick
